What it costs

Surcharges, where they apply:

• Same-day / urgent (booked within 24 hours): +S$60
• Off-island / remote zones (Sentosa, Jurong Island, Tuas South): +S$55
• Visits beyond 60 minutes: +S$60 per additional 30 minutes

What happens during the visit

• The nurse confirms the prescribed medication and dose.
• The nebuliser is set up and the mask or mouthpiece fitted.
• The medicine is given while the nurse watches breathing and comfort.
• Breathing and oxygen levels are checked before and after.
• A written visit summary is left for the patient's own doctor.

Who needs this

People with asthma, COPD or other breathing problems who need inhaled medication through a nebuliser and can't manage it alone — often the frail elderly or those recovering after a chest infection.

How often: As often as the treatment plan needs — from an occasional visit during a flare-up to a regular schedule.

When to call a doctor

• Worsening breathlessness, blue lips, or fighting for breath (call 995)
• Chest tightness or wheeze that doesn't ease after treatment
• Fever, or coughing up discoloured phlegm
