What it costs

typically S$180–280 per visit, depending on how long the infusion runs, for the nurse's time. Consumables are billed separately at cost — no markup. The fee also covers travel within mainland Singapore and a written summary for the patient's doctor. See the full pricing list.

Surcharges, where they apply:

• Same-day / urgent (booked within 24 hours): +S$60
• Off-island / remote zones (Sentosa, Jurong Island, Tuas South): +S$55
• Visits beyond 60 minutes: +S$60 per additional 30 minutes

What happens during the visit

• We check the doctor's written order and the prescription before booking.
• The nurse confirms the patient's details, the drug, the dose and the rate.
• A cannula is inserted and secured, and the line is flushed and checked.
• The infusion runs with the nurse present, monitoring for any reaction.
• The line is flushed and the cannula removed at the end unless a course needs it left in.
• A written visit summary records what was given and how the patient tolerated it.

Who needs this

People prescribed IV fluids, IV antibiotics or another infusion who would rather have it at home than sit in a day ward — often after a hospital stay, during a dehydrating illness, or as part of a treatment course a doctor is already supervising.

How often: As prescribed. Courses of IV antibiotics commonly run daily or twice daily for several days.

When to call a doctor

• Rash, facial or lip swelling, wheeze or difficulty breathing during or after the infusion — call 995
• Pain, swelling, coolness or blanching at the cannula site
• Redness tracking up the arm from the cannula, or fever
• Breathlessness, or new swelling of the legs, during a fluid infusion
