Doctor house call in Singapore

A doctor house call is S$300 during office hours and S$450 after hours, with procedures, investigations and medications billed separately. A doctor travels to the patient — HDB flat, condominium or nursing home — and assesses, treats and prescribes at the bedside. It sits between a clinic visit and A&E: for someone too unwell to travel comfortably, but not unwell enough to need an ambulance.

Who provides it

Doctor house calls are provided by Urgent Care At Home Pte. Ltd., a medical service licensed by the Ministry of Health under the Healthcare Services Act as an Outpatient Medical Service.

When to go to A&E instead

A house call is not an emergency service. Call 995 or go straight to A&E for chest pain, sudden breathlessness, stroke symptoms — facial droop, arm weakness, slurred speech — a seizure, heavy bleeding, or anyone who is unresponsive or deteriorating quickly. If you are unsure, err towards A&E.
